We’ve recently released a new Splunk add-on that allows you to ingest Google Analytics metrics into Splunk, via the Google Analytics Data API. This add-on works with Google Analytics 4 (GA4) data.

Google Analytics allows you to collect a wealth of data about the users that are visiting your site. It splits this data across a number of dimensions such as browser type, country and so on. While Google Analytics itself can help you visualise and report on this data, combining this with other back end data sources that are in Splunk can be beneficial to see the big picture.

Currently the add-on isn’t on Splunkbase but is available as an open source project on GitHub. The add-on was built using the fantastic Splunk UCC Framework. The data imported is super easy to search and create dashboards from. You have the flexibility to request the metrics and dimensions you need from your GA4 data.

There are installation instructions in the readme on the GitHub page. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions.
